Wordplayer Wayne Michael DeHart  and his poetic alter egos, Thinker 153 and  Sage 7,  are equal, collaborating contributors to the creative content presented in this website.

Seasoned observers taking our rest from lifetimes of peaks and valleys, victories and defeats, laughter and tears, we now ponder fantasy and freedom, fortitude and forgiveness, faith and fate.

We consume dark chocolate by the pound, rekindle flickering flames, search our souls, and write what seems right. No boos aloud and no booze allowed during writin’ time keeps the peace, the perception, and the perspective intact.

We merge to create poems and stories as one entity, combining our self-realized identities in this endeavor of therapeutic theater and thoughtful themes.

We offer continuing heartfelt thanks to, and for, the ultimate, empowering gift of understanding and human kindness – “Courtney R.” –  at the Veterans Administration; forever held in the highest esteem, to be recognized, respected and remembered till the lights are turned off and the door is gently closed.

  1. Hi Wayne,
Sorrry I haven’t responded to your email that you sent me. I’ve started about three reply’s already but have been interrupted. No excuse, but I didn’t want you to think I was ignoring it. I will reply back after Tuesday. Take care,
    Courtney R.

  2. Your short story Bar Belles & Dumbbells in the September Mensa Bulletin is delightful. Thank you. I see in your bio that you enjoy Celtic music. For many years played bodhran and whistle, sang and danced with various Celtic music groups in the Milwaukee, WI area. Lots of fun. My short story was featured in the –mm–2020 or maybe 2021 fiction issue.

    • Hello, and thank you for the kind words regarding “Bar Belles & Dumbbells.” Your comment prompted me to track down your September, 2020, fiction piece in the Bulletin, entitled “Friends: A Man and a Cat.” The major twist at the very end was pure genius (well, you ARE a Mensan) and naturally I just had to immediately go back and reread it, this time from a completely different perspective. Simply delightful. I also went to YouTube and watched a few Green Sails music videos, including “The Red-Haired Girl.” Bravo!
